Is A Woman Allowed To Wear A Brazilian Micro Bikini In Public?

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Although bikinis have been accepted into the mainstream world of swimwear fashion for many years, with the introduction of the Brazilian-cut micro bikini by European influences, Hollywood movies, and trendy mazines, many women remain reluctant to wear the Brazilian micro bikini in public. What started off as designer swimwear for sunbathing, eventually evolved into wearing the Brazilian micro bikini in public by non-movie-star type women–namely any woman who felt brave enough to wear such attire. However, to fully understand what’s at stake, let’s consider a few known facts. Brazilian bikinis, both the bikini tops and bottoms, reveal more skin than any of the previous bikini styles that were available in the United States. Most notably, the Brazilian bikini bottoms are so revealing that it is almost an unwritten rule that a woman must shave or wax her pubic hairs before going out in public while wearing such a suit. On a side note, that’s how the term, ”Brazilian bikini wax” was born. Before a woman could wear such a swimsuit, she had to remove (wax) the visible hairs that were not covered up by the bikini’s fabric. The bottoms of Brazilian bikinis have slim strips of fabric that drape over the pelvic bone in front, and the fabric in back reveals almost every inch of a woman’s body. The bikini bottoms are known as Tanga, Asa Delta, and Fio Dental. The Tanga covers a minimal area of flesh on the backside, whereas the Asa Delta looks similar to a thong, but it has strips of fabric that line each side of the back. The Fio Dental is equivalent to the size of dental floss as it slithers in between the buttocks of the wearer. Brazilian bikinis tops are equally as flesh revealing as the bottoms. Even though bikinis can be worn for swimming, the Brazilian bikinis are mostly known for sunbathing use. In the Brazilian bikini line, there are three styles of bikini tops: triangle, halter, and bandeau. The triangle covers the bust area with two miniscule-sized cups that suggest that they might cover a small portion of the breasts. A halter top has more fabric and is usually cinched around the neck to keep the woman’s bosom from falling out of the bikini’s top. A bandeau is similar to an elastic tube that slips over the head and covers the chest area. It has no ties at the neck or in the back. Brazilian bikinis reveal more flesh than any other type of bikini on the market. You can also choose a sheer or see-thru fabric. There is very little left to the imagination when a woman wears this type of bikini. Therefore, although there are no universal rules that say a woman cannot wear a Brazilian bikini in public, many resorts, public beaches and pools do have the right to request that a woman leave the area or change into swimwear that is less revealing, especially if young children are present. To be prepared for such a personal confrontation by management, a woman would be wise to bring along a more modest-styled swimsuit in the event she were asked to leave the premises due to her revealing swimwear. So, if you are daring enough, and have enough self-esteem, go ahead and wear your Brazilian micro bikini in public. Just be aware that you might be asked to leave. One final thought: if Brazilian-cut bikinis were banned in a lot of public places, then we wouldn’t be seeing so many stores carrying them, right? However, sales are booming in all corners of the world when it comes to selling this type of swimwear. The bottom line is that women love wearing these bikinis, and men love looking at women wearing Brazilian bikinis. That fact alone is what drives sales up, and by looking at the fashion magazines, it doesn’t appear that the Brazilian bikini is going away anytime soon. So, ladies, go ahead and wear your micro bikinis in public. When management doesn’t approve, they’ll be sure to let you know…maybe. By Alex London When the first bikini was introduced into the United States as a fashion item, many clothing designers refused to believe that it would ever become a trend, or for that matter, be in demand. For over ten years, American designers thought that the average female citizen wouldn’t wear a bikini, due to ethical and decent-minded attitudes. However, by 1957, thanks mainly to European influences and Hollywood movies, the bikini was accepted into our mainstream way of thinking about fashions and clothing trends. As trends have a tendency to do, the bikini trend escalated in 1960 when a songwriter named Brian Hyland crafted his Yellow Polka Dot Bikini song, which soon became a hit. Since that time, the bikini has become commonplace among swimwear designers and those who still buy the bikinis. Recently, however, a new style of bikini has emerged that has gained worldwide attention-the Brazilian micro bikini. It also started as a new way for women to sunbathe, which allowed them to wear as little as possible in order to get the best tan with the least amount of fabric covering their bodies. Brazilian bikinis-both the bikini tops and bottoms-reveal more skin than any of the previous bikini styles. In fact, the Brazilian bikini bottoms are so revealing that it’s mandatory that a woman have her pubic hairs removed before she can go out in public wearing such a bathing suit. To remove the hair that is so visible requires using a warm wax, rather than just shaving that particular area of a woman’s body. Thus, with the influence of the Brazilian bikini, its popularity launched the term Brazilian wax-a procedure for hair removal required before a woman could wear the bikini. The bottoms of Brazilian bikinis have slim strips of fabric that drape over the pelvic bone in front, and the fabric in back reveals almost every inch of a woman’s body. The bikini bottoms are known as Tanga, Asa Delta, and Fio Dental. Tanga covers a minimal part of the flesh on the backside, while Asa Delta looks similar to a thong, but has strips of fabric that line each side of the back. Finally, the Fio Dental resembles the size of dental floss as it slithers in between the buttocks of the wearer. The tops of Brazilian bikinis are equally as flesh revealing as the bottoms. Although bikinis are known to be worn for swimming, the Brazilian bikinis are most appropriately known for sunbathing use. Women can choose one of three styles for these types of bikini tops-triangle, halter, and bandeau. The triangle covers the bust area with two teeny-tiny cups that suggest that they might cover a small portion of the breasts. A halter top is made with somewhat more fabric and is cinched around the neck to keep the bosom from falling out of the suit. The bandeau is like an elastic tube that slips over the head and nestles around the chest area, with no ties at the neck or back. Most certainly, whichever style of Brazilian bikini you choose to wear, it reveals more flesh than any other type of bikini on the market. Add to that the option of choosing a sheer or see-thru fabric; little is left to the imagination when viewing a woman wearing this type of bikini. Therefore, before you venture outside to your favorite resort or beach, make sure you’re prepared to bring along another bikini, in case your Brazilian micro bikini is off-limits. To wear a Brazilian micro bikini requires that a woman have an extreme measure of self-confidence, combined with a sense for adventure. Christiane Lemos Iconic Beach Girl

Christiane Lemos Originally uploaded by Rafael Q Silveira Iconic Beach Girl #5 – Brigitte Bardot By Kiki Farmer Ooh-la-la! Brigitte Bardot, or BB as she was known, or even just ‘Bardot’, practically invented the bikini. More than that fateful 2-piece garment, she invented a whole niche industry for fashion, press and film representing an untapped age segment, that, up until her appearance on the cover of Paris magazine Elle in 1950 at age 16, was entirely ignored and unknown. The world of teenagers. It sounds so much prettier in French–the unexplored canvas of les juenes filles, or the ‘young girls’. Up until this point in time, only women or children were so portrayed by the media–there was no fashion or magazines devoted to teenagers–there were only grown-up married women in tweedy Chanel suits and crisp Dior shirt-waisted dresses or chubby, red-cheeked school girls in serge uniforms of navy and grey. No pubescent girls like Bardot at the beach in a Hawaiian print bikini! (Cannes Film Festival 1953) Even Nabokov’s tale of a child-woman, Lolita, who seduces a much, much older man would not yet be written (or banned) for a further five years! BB created a fashion all her own; a look that overtook the formality and heavy construction of the Parisian couturiers ‘New Look’. Barefoot, bikini-clad, her wild, tangled mane of hair as frisky as a Camargue horse’s tail –she exuded insouciance, freedom, carefree-ness, juxtaposed alongside an aching, budding sexuality. Let’s put it this way–she was sex on legs. And she dressed like that. Like a jeune fille, a teenager– although at that time, mind you, there was no template for dressing like one. A simple, fitted camisoled-cotton sun dress, a stripey sailor’s tee exposing both shoulders (now known as a Bardot neckline), boy shorts, Capri trousers–always girlie, flirty, never lewd, but casual, and always mostly barefoot–always unstudied and flung-together. In fact, her look was the opposite of say, someone like the divine Miss Dita von Teese whose every ensemble is a creative tour de force of planned elegant sexuality. Bardot, with her nubile, seductive and completely natural sensuality–encased by her full, naturally pouty bee-stung lips, bed hair, perfectly erect posture from her training as a ballet dancer and her proportionately, womanly curves–caused indignation, unrest, arrests, event threats of immorality– when she was launched onto a bigger screen in her husband Roger Vadim’s 1956 film And God Created Woman. Bardot, cast as the voracious, sexually wanton Juliete, became a cause celebre and went from jeune fille to God’s gift to Men. Her carioca dance scene where she drives the 3 main male characters into an erotic frenzy has become a defining moment in cinematography. She was adjudged by the editor of Paris-Match to be ‘immoral from head to toe’. Of course, all this furore and clamor to ban her did was to elevate and promote her status to an even higher pedestal–that of budding sex goddess! Bardot went on to make more than 50 films before ‘retiring’ and withdrawing to her beloved beaches of St. Tropez at age 39, devoting herself to animal and political causes. She assiduously eschewed the glitz and artifice of high fashion, make-up, plastic surgery and the spotlight, instead choosing to follow her desires and pleasures on her own terms. Of course the irony today is that all women want to dress like ‘jeunes filles’ forever, and all women want to look like Bardot. Bardot bikinis Kikidoll is the eternal beachgirl, and takes her inspiration from the awesome elegance and pristine simplicity of beaches and waves everywhere. She muses on islands, oceans, beaches, shells, flowers, tropical living, travel, design and style, swimming, surfing, her beloved Hawaii nei, the spirit of aloha, iconic symbols and of course the fleeting ‘endless summer’. Most importantly, she frets over what to wear at the beach! http://www.kikidollbeach.com BLOG / Photographs / more Articles from kikidoll http://www.kikidoll.com WEBSITE / kikidoll swimwear made by kikidoll. So what attracts women to men? Here is a few details that will help you attract women extremely well! – First you should exhibit fearlessness. Women like their guys to be confident in their demeanor, whatever it is. It doesn’t mean you need to be particularly cocky or arrogant, just come off like you’re totally comfortable with yourself. If you want to know how to really turn a girl on, you first have to know how to move yourself well. – Make her feel totally hot. A dude who can evaluate a lady and respects her because of who she is, is one of the largest turn-ons for women. – Be consistent and not overly kind. A male who won’t give up certainly will have a better shot at getting women, this is key in what attracts women to men. Additionally exhibit motivation and spontaneity. You should live passionately and show you’re having fun. Women are bored with guys who go along with with them in everything. So unleash your opinions! A Traveler’s Dream

It is a part of the Yucatan peninsula composed of two other states: Campeche and Quintana Roo. Rich in cultural heritage with its Mayan civilization and its world famous long stretch of pristine white beaches, the peninsula only became accessible by land in late 1950’s. Today, the Yucatan is a must destination for tourists. There are plenty of other locations of interest on the Yucatan to visit. There is a point of interest for the adventurous, the history buff, the explorer or the regular vacationer. Mayan Ruins and Archeological Sites The Mayan Civilization prospered from 300 to 900 AD. The step pyramids and temples that were built in the dense jungles are still a sight to behold even today. The more famous destinations are the 1,500 year-old ruins in Chichen Itza, the world heritage and well-restored and preserved ruins in Uxmal, the cliff top ruins in Tulum and Dzibilchaltun. It is at the great city of Dzibilchaltun where you can observe the mathematical genius of the ancient Mayans as you witness the incredible precision of equinoxes in March and September. Colonial Haciendas Other locations of interest on the Yucatan to visit are the colonial estates. The Spanish conquistadors brought their Roman Catholic faith and an economic system called hacienda much like the great southern plantations in the United States before the civil war. Haciendas were estates that dealt mostly with produce to make the estate self-sufficient. Today, the colonial Hacienda Sotuta de Peon is still as it was 100 years ago. The produce is the world famous henequen or green gold, a fiber used for rugs and twine. The Hacienda Petac is a farm hacienda where one can get accommodations for the day/night. Cenotes Or sink holes are everywhere in the Yucatan. There is an estimated 3000 cenotes in the Yucatan but only half of them are registered and studied. Cenotes were the only source of fresh water at the height of the Mayan civilization. They were considered sacred places and were thought to be the entrance to the underworld. There are underground, semi-underground, open wells and pond-like cenotes. Other locations of interest on the Yucatan to visit are the cenotes in San Ignacio, Cuzama, Zaci, Kankirixche and Ik kil. These places are incredible! Beaches The Emerald Coast is a 120 kilometer stretch of the clearest water and whitest sand in north Yucatan’s Gulf of Mexico. Beach locations of interest on the Yucatan to visit are: the Playa del Carmen – a vacation beach spot with night life and shopping, and the beaches in Cancun and Cozumel. For the more adventurous, a trip to the Alacranes Reef is a must where you will be one with nature as there are no luxurious amenities here and reef diving is not for the faint-hearted. The next time you plan your dream vacation and ultimate adventure, consider the Yucatan and the other locations of interest in the region to visit. When visiting Merida, treat yourself to staying in this unique upscale Bed & Breakfast and a Guest house in Merida, Mexico. Located 4 blocks from the main square, it is a charming, romantic place with only three beautiful bedrooms.
