How should i remove my bikini line hair?

Thursday, September 1st, 2011

What is the best way to remove hair from your bikini line? Should i shave or use a depilatory cream? I do not like the idea of waxing or using an epilator because of the pain. I am also worried about the re-growth and the fact it might be really itchy. Please help.

First Ever Colour For The Bikini Line Containing Certified Organic Ingredients And Manufactured In The Uk

Saturday, October 2nd, 2010

Minikini is the first in the world to launch a colour for the bikini line.Manufactured in the UK containing certified organic ingredients and accredited by The Guild of Beauty Therapists the colours are gentle and easy to use.  The colours can be applied by beauty salons as a treament or  purchased on line as a DIY at  www.minikinicolour.com. Hailed as an innovative idea by Nicky Hambleton-Jones from 10 years younger, she commented “this is a fabulous idea, it gives women the confidence in their total grooming.” Linda Kelsey’s article in The Daily Mail on Monday this week 9th March 2009 received a good response with women calling to ask questions and purchase the product. Many ladies called Minikini to discuss the subject and they were delighted to talk directly to Teri who is the founder and technical Director as she understood their concerns and she is in the same age bracket as them.   The main point was that grey hair down there should not be such a taboo subject and it should be talked about more.  They believe women suffer in silence and they never knew about the availability of pubic hair dye.  They were thankful for your article and bringing this subject to people’s attention.   One lady mentioned that she had not undressed in front of her husband for years as she coloured her hair on her head but had gone grey downstairs.    Teri was concerned to hear that ladies are using a variety of different methods in their attempt to cover their grey public hair, from staining with tea, using eyelash tints and men’s products such as ‘just for men’.   Some of these products contain metals , can be to harsh and others such as tea the staining only lasts for one shower. This new concept colour is not Tested on Animals and are as natural as they can be. Minikini colour is made with certified organic ingredients and does not contain Ammonia, Parabens, Resorcinol and small amount of PPDs.If there is any ladies who would like to discuss anything regarding this subject, you are able to talk with Teri direct on the phone 0044 1525 862284 between 9am-9pm 7 days a week, or email 24/7 teri.baker@minikinicolour.com .

Tuck Up That Abdominal Bulge in Your Bikini Line

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

Like all structures on the body, things change with age, gravity, and the general wear and tear of life. Nowhere is this more apparent than on the female abdomen. Puberty, pregnancy, and weight change all play potential havoc with the smooth flat abdomen that most women have in youth. Pregnancy is the biggest culprit here, stretching the skin through expansion and contraction and leaving scars from c-sections. The c-section scar shrinks and pulls in, creating a lower abdominal bulge as the loose skin ends up overhanging the scar. Often stretch marks extend upward from the scar and around the bellybutton as well. Unfortunately, no amount of dieting and exercise will shrink this skin excess and many women can attest to that observation. Abdominoplasty, otherwise known as a tummy tuck, will get rid of this problem but a traditional or full tummy tuck may be a bigger procedure than many women desire to undergo. The long hip to hip scar from a full tummy tuck may not be justified given the smaller amount of skin overhang that exists. Also, full tummy tucks result in belly button scars as the old belly button is brought back up through a new skini location. Despite my best efforts at making belly button scars, I find most of them to be somewhat visible and not completely normal in appearance. Another option is a smaller tummy tuck version, which I call the Bikini Line Tummy Tuck. With this approach, the length of the resulting scar is shorter but, more importantly, it stays very low. (hence the name Bikini Line) It stays low because the amount of skin removed is less and the cut out is below the belly button level. The placement of the initial incision is quite low and the amount of skin removed does not usually allow the scar to be pulled up higher during skin closure. (as occurs in a full tummy tuck) In addition, no scar results around the belly button since as it is repositioned lower from underneath the skin before the final skin closure. While many women, due to the size of their abdominal excess, are not good candidates for the Bikini Line Tummy Tuck, about half of the female patients that I see are. If the women is not overweight with a small lower abdominal pooch, with or without a c-section scar, she may be an ideal candidate. A scar that fits inside the bikini line but still allows a flat abdomen and a scarless belly button is the result. Bikini Line Hair Removal – Vital for Swimmers and Sunbathers Alike

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Women have been trying to find the best way to remove unwanted bikini area hair for what seems like forever. As bikini line hair removal has become such an important part of every woman’s life, it is important to be aware of all the different methods available today. One method for bikini area hair removal is to undergo regular wax treatments at a local salon. Keep in mind that for this method to be appropriate for you, you must be very comfortable with your body and with the practitioner performing the procedure. In addition, you must be aware that any waxing procedure, especially one done on such a sensitive area of one’s body, is going to cause pain, which can not only be immediate, but which can last for days as the skin where the hair was removed recovers. Another disadvantage of regular visits to the salon is that they can really add up financially. As a result, many women have the over the counter methods available at drugstores instead. There are two main types of at-home bikini area hair removal kits widely available today. With the first type of kit, you receive a jar of wax which you heat in your microwave, wooden applicators with which to apply the wax to your skin, and strips of specially-treated paper which you will then stick to the wax once it has been applied to your body. You then remove the strips, and, in theory, the wax and hair underneath them come off with them. Another type of at-home wax kit includes strips of paper which already have wax applied to them. The disadvantage of this as well as of the other type of wax kit is that it is difficult to have the proper visuals needed in order to perform these techniques on oneself accurately. This is made especially difficult by the fact that you can only use these products no more frequently than once per day, as waxing can severely irritate the skin, as the top layer of one’s skin often comes off along with the wax and hair. Therefore, you must know many days in advance that you will be needing a smooth and soft bikini line, thus making short-notice events very difficult. The other option for at-home bikini area hair removal is cream hair remover. Although less painful in the direct short-term, many women have adverse reactions to these creams, and it is possible to end up with painful itchy rashes or raised red bumps after the use of these treatments. These painful conditions can develop even twelve hours after initial contact with the product and can last for days. Based on this analysis of currently-available techniques, it is no surprise that many women are turning to the permanent hair removal solution of laser hair removal in order to manage their bikini line hair removal issues. By undergoing this treatment, you can spare yourself having to routinely manage your bikini area for the rest of your life!   To find more on bikini line hair removal and other latest information on laser hair removal, visit http://www.LaserHairRemoval-101.com – Make the choice today that so many others are doing.

What is the best alternative to waxing my bikini line?

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

I am about to go on holiday and would like to know what the best alternatives to waxing my bikini line are so I can wear a small bikini. Just to add I do have sensitive skin, and am very pale skinned with dark auburn hair so unfortunately any regrowth shows quickly. Thank you all! Maria – not just bikini line, more of a brazilian style was what I had planned.
