Swim wear may be the last thing on your mind at present but the shops are already stocking swim wear and what a choice there is! Possibly too much choice! However once you have ascertained colours, styles and patterns that suit you, you may find the choice more limiting. This is not a bad thing. It will save you so much time if you can eliminate more than half the choice without even having to take your socks off! First think about your scale. If you are over 5′10″ with medium to large bone structure, you need patterns that are quite big. The reverse is true for petite women and anybody in between should stick to a medium pattern. In other words; match your pattern size to your scale. Second think about the pattern itself. If you have a curvy shape; either “hourglass” or “round”, you should go for curvy patterns such as flowers or paisley. If you have a more angular shape such as “rectangle” or “lean column”, stripes, checks or geometric patterns are more flattering. “Triangles” may want to “mix and match” with a plain lower half and patterned upper half and the reverse for “inverted triangles”. Third think about costume style. Is a one piece or a bikini more flattering? A two piece bikini is often more flattering, especially for those without much waist definition. Believe it or not the expanse of flesh between to the two bits of material can be more slimming. For those women who are small busted, it is important to get some detail to this part of the swimwear, either with pattern, colour or detail such as frills or ties. Avoid halter necks if you are narrow shouldered, these should be reserved for “inverted triangles” who have broad shoulders and narrow hips. Those with narrow hips can add detail to the bottom half with side ties or belted styles around the hips. If you are long in the body, a tankini may be the answer if you prefer not to wear a bikini. A tankini will be more comfortable and give more freedom of movement without exposing the middle area. Short legs can be “elongated” with a higher cut and boy shorts should be avoided at all costs. If you still feel shy about exposing your body on the beach in swimwear, find a beautiful sarong in colours that suit you and tie it around your waist or hips or even under the arms. Just think how much more confident you will feel by the pool or on the beach, knowing that you are wearing a flattering shape and colour. Now just relax and enjoy the sunshine! How do you avoid bumps on your bikini line after shaving?
Do you wear a bikini or skimpy clothes when you wash your car at home. I like to wear my old pair of short short jean shorts with a bikini top or a short cut off t-shirt.

You say you want a bikini body, but do you really know what your goals are? Do you want to fit into your skinny jeans or do you want to get fit? “It’s important to have answers to these questions,” says LA-based celebrity trainer Jason Kozma . Kozma who sculpted the bodies of many in the spotlight as well as achieved the title of Mr. America , says most people mistakenly believe that “losing weight” is the way to go. “It’s not about the number on the scale, it’s about inches around your waist, hips, chest,” he points out. “It’s also about your body fat ration.” “But it’s all so confusing!” you say. “Low carb, low fat, high protein… every month there is something new! “How do I know what to eat?” “Weight loss is all about “calories in” and “calories out,”” says Kozma. He says fad diets don’t nurture the body and help you get the bikini shape you want. “The studies that appear often in the headlines usually measure the number of pounds lost and not the pounds of fat versus muscle,” he says. “That’s one of the reasons you see people who are considered ‘thin’ where they are in fact malnourished.” Kozma’s no-fail bodybuilding plan helps novices as well as those who have tried it all lose the unwanted fat, tone the body and triple the energy. Kozma will tell you how to calculate calories, measure portions, how to choose foods that will help you lose weight, and what to look for when shopping in your local grocery store. In no time, he will help you get real results, whether you want to drop a size, get bikini-ready fast, or make over your entire body from head to toe. Here are Kozma’s five tips of getting started: 1. Build Strong Bones and Muscles Kozma believes in hoisting hefty weights during high-intensity workouts. 2. Focus on Yourself “It’s important to feel your body,” says Kozma. “Spend every minute in the gym effectively, you can socialize after workouts.” 3. Swing into Action If you can’t make it to the gym, take a walk, run on the beach or even clean your apartment. 4. Be a Fit Mom ”Having a baby is no longer an excuse for extra fat,” says Kozma. Just take one look at the celebrity moms, who show-off their babies as well as their tones glutes and shoulders. “Do lots and lots of lunges with shoulder presses,” says Kozma . “Have your toddler stand in for some dumbbells.” 5. Log On for Success Kozma will share with you the same workout advice as he gives celebrities and athletes at www.latrainer.com , which also offers experts advice on everything from weight loss to walking. How good will i look in a bikini one month after giving birth?
Like all structures on the body, things change with age, gravity, and the general wear and tear of life. Nowhere is this more apparent than on the female abdomen. Puberty, pregnancy, and weight change all play potential havoc with the smooth flat abdomen that most women have in youth. Pregnancy is the biggest culprit here, stretching the skin through expansion and contraction and leaving scars from c-sections. The c-section scar shrinks and pulls in, creating a lower abdominal bulge as the loose skin ends up overhanging the scar. Often stretch marks extend upward from the scar and around the bellybutton as well. Unfortunately, no amount of dieting and exercise will shrink this skin excess and many women can attest to that observation. Abdominoplasty, otherwise known as a tummy tuck, will get rid of this problem but a traditional or full tummy tuck may be a bigger procedure than many women desire to undergo. The long hip to hip scar from a full tummy tuck may not be justified given the smaller amount of skin overhang that exists. Also, full tummy tucks result in belly button scars as the old belly button is brought back up through a new skini location. Despite my best efforts at making belly button scars, I find most of them to be somewhat visible and not completely normal in appearance. Another option is a smaller tummy tuck version, which I call the Bikini Line Tummy Tuck. With this approach, the length of the resulting scar is shorter but, more importantly, it stays very low. (hence the name Bikini Line) It stays low because the amount of skin removed is less and the cut out is below the belly button level. The placement of the initial incision is quite low and the amount of skin removed does not usually allow the scar to be pulled up higher during skin closure. (as occurs in a full tummy tuck) In addition, no scar results around the belly button since as it is repositioned lower from underneath the skin before the final skin closure. While many women, due to the size of their abdominal excess, are not good candidates for the Bikini Line Tummy Tuck, about half of the female patients that I see are. If the women is not overweight with a small lower abdominal pooch, with or without a c-section scar, she may be an ideal candidate. A scar that fits inside the bikini line but still allows a flat abdomen and a scarless belly button is the result.
